A creative encounter for curious minds of all ages.

In a world full of distractions, one of the most valuable skills is learning how to look.

What's the Story? is a welcoming gallery experience that invites children, families and curious adults to slow down, observe, ask questions and discover the stories hidden in plain sight.

Set within two working creative spaces in Brighton, participants meet local artists, explore original artworks and engage in playful activities combining conversation, observation, drawing and imagination.

Whether you stay for twenty minutes or two hours, every visit is an opportunity to see the world a little differently.

No previous art experience is required. Just curiosity.

What's the Story? has been developed by a multidisciplinary team of local artists, educators, parents and community practitioners including social anthropologists, psychologists and experienced art educators.

The programme supports:

  • Empathy and perspective-taking
  • Creativity and imagination
  • Meaningful engagement with contemporary culture

Booking & Pricing

Individual Visitors

£5 suggested contribution per adult
Children attend free with an accompanying adult.

Families

£10 per family
Includes refreshments and creative materials.

Groups, Schools & Home Education Networks

From £50 per session depending on group size and support requirements.

Independent Schools, Boarding Schools & Educational Partnerships

Bespoke programmes available from £150.

Advance booking is strongly recommended for families, schools, home education groups and larger parties.

Community Impact

As part of Wach'Art CIC's commitment to community wellbeing and civic participation, 10% of fees are donated to a charity chosen by participating groups or partner organisations.
